Join in for a night of chatting with our neighbours about tackling the climate crisis with a movement for justice and human rights - a movement that Leah Gazan is helping lead as our voice in Ottawa.
This event is open to anyone interested in making sure the climate emergency is front and centre this federal election.
The recent IPCC report on the climate crisis shows once again that climate change is here, it’s caused by fossil fuels, and it is a serious crisis facing our neighbourhoods and the whole planet, particularly marginalized and oppressed communities worldwide.
We need to re-elect Leah Gazan in Winnipeg Centre so she can continue working in partnership with the climate justice movement.
First time helping out a political campaign? No problem! We encourage all to join, and trainers will be around to help support you throughout the evening.
Meet at Vimy Park anytime between 5:00pm and 8:00pm. There, you’ll get information, materials, and join with others to hit the pavement on foot in the community. Volunteers are welcome to join for as much time as they are able to give.
Refreshments will be on hand at Vimy Park to fuel you for the night. Strict COVID protocols will be in place.
